One of the stand-out bottles of the vintage here, this comes fom a south-facing vineyard uphill from 1st Growths Les Arvelets and Les Charmots. The fruit was so healthy that 30% whole bunches were added, bringing complex spiciness. The wine has been ageing in small barrels of which 20% were new. Colour is deep, ruby-purple, aromas are open, recalling red fruits. Palate shows impressive structure, with dense fruit concentration, well-rounded tannins and splendid length (for drinking 2022-2032+).
