Lying on the slopes of the beautiful, narrow valley which leads into the hills from Nantoux, at 377 metres of altitude, comes this Hautes Côtes red – from a plot known as “Le Clou”. The soil in this plot is very white, with high marlstone content, and plentiful pebbles. The grapes were hand-picked, then 10% whole clusters were added to the fermentation vat, to ease the drawing-off of juice, and to bring fresh spiciness. Colour is deep, ruby-purple, aromas are fine, ebullient and lively. The palate shows splendid fruit density, with broad, rich body, smooth texture and refreshing, impressive aftertaste (for drinking 2021-2025+).
