The Vaumuriens vineyard lies uphill from Les Rugiens, with the aspect being more northerly, so ripeness can be hard to achieve. In 2019, however, the superb summer brought these grapes to impressive maturity. Colour is medium deep purple, with aromas being complex and beautiful. The palate has power and structure, indeed magnificent fruitiness – with no harshness, but a firm finish promising great complexities (for drinking 2023-2028+).
