Les Vaumuriens is the vineyard making up 85% of this cuvée. The vines grow on white soil and a sometimes wind-battered slope. In a cool year, grapes can take many days to ripen, however, the 2015 vintage has really favoured this vineyard, and the fruit came slowly to perfect, healthy ripeness. Colour is ruby-purple of medium depth, the nose being fragrant, meaty and rich. Palate is well-structured, showing lively, dense fruitiness. Gentle, chalky tannins will ensure that this wine will keep well; it finishes straight and long (for drinking 2019-2028+).
