This comes from 8 different plots of 40 to 100-year old vines. Many are planted with the Pinot Noir Magnien, whose existence dates from 1850, yielding grapes with thick skins, giving little juice. Colour is pretty, medium deep purple, aromas being open, lively and pungent. Palate is richly built with dense fleshiness, balanced tannins, fresh lift on the finish and a lovely aftertaste (for drinking 2019-2028+).
