This comes from a vineyard called Très Girard, near Morey’s restaurant of the same name. It has been ageing in oak barrels, half of which were new. Deep ruby-purple, the nose is wonderfully attractive, recalling sweet red berries and gentle spice. Palate is full, fleshy and layered with crunchy fruit flavours. Structure is well defined, the finish being long-flavoured, fresh and full of finesse (for drinking 2019-2023+).
