Our allocation here is tiny, as only 3.5 barrels were made, compared to a more normal 7. Colour is deep, purple-ruby, aromas are fine, open and engaging. This has beautiful fruit, with finesse and harmony. In the past, Pommards were often heavy and aggressive wines. By contrast, this wine has remarkable finesse, and is also built to last, with solid qualities, its own character, silky texture and outstanding length. A wine of superb potential (for drinking 2021-2032+).
