Les Vaumuriens is the vineyard making up 85% of this cuvée. The vines grow on white soil on a high, sometimes wind-battered slope, giving a style of Pommard that is linear, richly concentrated and very precisely structured. Colour is ruby-purple of medium depth, the nose being taut, fragrant and meaty. Palate is well-structured and full bodied, showing dense, spicy, dark berry fruitiness. Very fine tannins will ensure that this wine will keep well; it finishes straight, long and fresh (for drinking 2020-2030+).
