A grape variety that is indigenous to the Alto Adige, this Schiava comes from the oldest Kurtatsch vineyards, growing between 300 and 400 metres above sea-level. These old vines produce naturally low yields of high quality grapes. As is typical of this grape, this 2020 is very pretty, glisteningly pale ruby. Aromas are incredibly enticing, fragrant and pure, with notes of strawberries and red cherries. This is a lively, light of touch wine with a freshness and clarity that speak of Alto Adige`s mountain air. It has vibrancy, excellent concentration and a silky, elegant finish. This will appeal greatly to lovers of Pinot Noir and fresh, lively styles of red wine.
