This is as close as one can get to enjoying Côte Rôtie when actually drinking a Vin de Pays, the vines being just on the wrong side of the fence. Aged for 12 months in 1-5 year-old oak barrels, colour is deep purple-ruby, with attractive, floral aromas of ripe fruits and spice. Here is a juicy, ebullient mouthful with racy freshness and elegant structure. It has a sweet finish with smooth tannins. A very smart buy we believe (for drinking 2020-2023+).
