2019 Cornas Champelrose, Domaine Courbis

From 3 hectares of Syrah vines located in the foothills that lead up to the family`s Sabarotte vineyard, this is the most approachable and open of the three Cornas cuvées (“my version of Village Burgundy”, says Laurent Courbis). Opaque ruby colour, aromas are sumptuously perfumed, with notes of ripe black cherries. The palate is full, intense and tightly concentrated, having linear focus, purity and lift. Tannins are fresh and in perfect harmony (for drinking 2022-2028+).
