Mourvedère always takes centre stage in this wine, once again comprising 70% of the blend, the remainder being equally split between Grenache and Syrah. The vines are 40-60 years in age, which naturally give low yields of highly concentrated grapes. Colour is vibrant, deep purple, aromas being floral and open, recalling blackberries and damsons. These lead to a powerful, fleshy palate, with layers of black fruit flavours. The tannins are silky-smooth and bring perfect harmony and freshness (for drinking winter 2022–2025+).
