2020 Côtes du Rhône Villages Saint Gervais Les Mourillons, Domaine Sainte-Anne

This is the first time we have listed the Domaine’s top level Côtes du Rhône Villages, this being a stunning Syrah, from low-yielding, 60-70-year-old vines – as one might find in the northern Rhône. Opaque purple colour, aromas are intense and expressive: bramble fruit, cassis, with floral freshness. Full in body, this is rich yet lifted, having beautiful purity, super-fine tannins and a long-lingering finish (for drinking 2023-2030+).
