The vines for this Gigondas are on north-east facing terraces that cling to the lower slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Predominantly from 50-year-old Grenache, with a small percentage of Syrah, strikingly this wine has a Burgundian quality to it, such is its vitality and lightness of step. Colour is mid ruby, the nose being attractive, with pure, ripe red cherry and raspberry aromas. Freshness and lift underpin the natural richness and fullness on the palate. This has good flesh and depth, and very fine, satiny tannins (for drinking 2022–2027+).
