From 60-100 year-old co-planted Grenache (predominantly) and Syrah vines, which border the family’s Châteauneuf vineyards, this 2016 Côtes du Rhône has a lovely, open, red cherry-scented nose. Palate is full bodied and suavely textured, with red berry and mandarin peel flavours that open up over the palate. This is an attractive, airy wine, the finish being pure, clean and bright (for drinking 2018-2020).
