Best known for his beautiful Meursaults, Jean-Marc Roulot also excels at making exquisite eaux de vies. Over the years we have regularly enjoyed these as a digestif in Beaune restaurants, and purchased bottles from the cellar door for our own consumption. We are delighted to have included some of this outstanding Poire Williams on our most recent shipment from the domaine.
Jean-Marc`s dedicates just as much care and attention to his distilled eaux de vies as he does to his wines. The pears for this were harvested at Orches, in the Haute Côtes de Beaune. Transparent in the glass, on the nose it has beautifully pure and balanced fruit aromatics: the essence of pears. Best served chilled, the palate is silky smooth, palate cleansing and totally refreshing. This is elegant, refined and incredibly harmonious. The ultimate digestif, to savour on its own, or with soft blue cheeses or fruit desserts.
