This is the property of Professor Denis Dubourdieu of Bordeaux University and his wife Florence – and one of the family properties where he practises what he preaches to his wine industry students. Vineyard plantings are 86% Semillon, with 14% Sauvignon blanc. It is again one of the vintage’s most outstanding wines from the Sauternes region. Colour is golden-green of medium depth, the nose being discreet yet aromatic, very elegant. The palate is concentrated, rich and creamy, with real intensity, fine acidity and beautiful length. It is a perfectly balanced Barsac, which will gain in complexities over many decades, if coolly cellared (for drinking 2018-2030+).
