90% Semillon with 8% Sauvignon blanc and 2% Muscadelle made up the blend of this wine in 2009, which aged 50% in new barrels. The château waited until 2nd October before starting its harvest, which lasted until 29th. What was the yield? – a tiny 13 hectolitres per hectare, which is all you can hope for if you aim to produce the greatest quality in Sauternes. This is an outstanding wine with roasted aromas, sumptuously rich palate, great freshness and spectacular length (for drinking now – 2030+).
