Located on the hillside leading up from the village of Milly, just above the Dampt’s home, the Premier Cru Côte de Léchet is a chalky-soiled, east-facing vineyard that benefits from the early morning sun. Year on year, it is this wine that shows the greatest minerality, fruit intensity, and potential for ageing in the Dampt cellar. Bright lemon-green, the nose is fine and tightly woven, with lifted lime and fresh apricot aromas. The palate is powerful and deeply concentrated, with stony freshness and a pure, long, fresh finish (for drinking 2017-2022+).
