The soils where these 90-year-old vines grow are rich in limestone, giving intense fruit and liveliness to this wine. It fermented in oak barrels (of which 15% were new), matured in them until end July 2017, then rested in tank until bottling in November. With very pretty, pale golden colour, this has rich aromas which are fresh and clean. Palate has a lovely combination of dense fruit with balancing acidity. Tenderly textured, it has real harmony and fine length – as well as being superb value (for drinking 2018-2022+).
