The hamlet of Graun, situated at 800-900 meters above sea level, is one of the Alto Adige`s highest-altitude winegrowing sites. Day-to-night temperature differences of up to 15°C are the rule during the pre-harvest period, allowing the Müller Thurgau grapes grown here to develop intense floral and fruit flavours accompanied by robust acidity. Pale lemon-green colour, aromas of this 2016 Graun are reminiscent of mountain herbs, fennel seed, apricots and white peaches – very attractive and perfumed. Palate is full, open and silkily textured, with wonderful pure, ripe stone fruit flavours and a lip-licking, long finish.
