The Vauvry vineyard has cool, clay-rich soils, which helped the vines to retain moisture during the hot, dry summer months. As we often find with this wine, it has an attractive, perfumed quality, and a lightness of step on the palate. The 2016 has a brilliant, pale lemon-green colour, with very pretty, floral-citrusy aromas. The palate is medium bodied, delicately structured and creamily textured. This is a precise, supple wine with a fine, vivacious finish (for drinking 2018–2020+).
