This white Santenay comes from two vineyards, Sous la Fée and Sous la Roche. In 2016, the grapes were predominantly sourced from the latter plot, where the high chalky slopes were preserved from the spring frost. This is a stunning wine in 2016, aromas being lifted and impressively concentrated, with mineral freshness and ripe citrus fruits dominating. It has a broad, powerful middle with sumptuous textures and complex spiciness. Here is a wine that bursts with energy, the finish being impressive and long-flavoured (for drinking 2018–2021+).
