This comes from a hillside vineyard to Rully’s north, lying just below 1st Growth Clos du Chaigne. The land is pebble-rich and quite steep, always one of her first vineyards to ripen.
Chosen barrel by barrel, the secondary fermentation was partially blocked here, to retain precious freshness (this representing about 10% of the Cuvée). The wine was then bottled before the 2018 harvest. Pale, green-golden in colour, it has piercing, lemony fruitiness on the nose. Palate is full-bodied, fresh and clean, with lively length on the finish (for drinking 2019-2021+).
