This vineyard is situated at the heart of the slope, just south of the village. Blain-Gagnard’s holdings are in two plots, running from the bottom to the top of the site, giving an intricate wine of great complexity. Partly the soils are white, with many pebbles; then higher up, they are marly, with fossil shells. Colour is pale lemon-gold, aromas are finely fragrant and full of promise. Palate has many levels of flavour, contained within a rich, harmonious structure, where acidity balances ripeness. This is a complete wine, very long (for drinking 2020- 2028+).
