This comes from relatively young vines, due south-facing, which are farmed rather than owned by the domaine. The importance of mature vines or old vines is much less significant for Chardonnay than for Pinot Noir, and a youthful white Burgundy vineyard can often produce wines of striking vivacity and fruit intensity, as is the case here. The wine is pale, yellow-gold in colour, the nose having a lovely, dancing character, with a hint of Muscat. Palate is clean and well-balanced, with fresh, good volume, and a supple, fine finish (for drinking 2021-2023+).
