Jean-Baptiste acquired these vines on his father’s retirement and has been making this rare, white Aloxe-Corton since the 2018 vintage. The vines were planted in 1942, so are now 80 years old. Situated downhill from Corton-Charlemagne this plot has again produced a stunningly well-balanced wine of real distinction. Just 4 barrels were made. Colour is green-gold, aromas are fresh, fine and richly fruity. Palate shows volume and roundness, with creamy texture and vivacious aftertaste (for drinking 2022-2026+).
