2020 Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune Blanc Les Champlains, Domaine Decelle & Fils

These vines are up on a hillside above Savigny-lès-Beaune. Long-standing clients may remember when we used to ship from here, where grapes from an adjoining plot were made into wine by the late, much-missed, Patrick Bize. This wine fermented in stainless steel, then aged in 600-litre, not-new oak. Bottled in June 2021, it shows vibrant, green-gold colour, citrus-fresh aromas and intensely fruity, tightly focused ample body, with fine length (for drinking 2022-2024+).
