Jean-Baptiste Clair tells the story: “My father bought this part of the mountain at auction in 1994 – when it was thorn-trees, box-bushes, pebbles and scrubland. But it was a good idea – land was not so expensive as it is today. It was planted in 1996, the first harvest being 1999”. It is less than 1/5 of a hectare, sometimes giving four barrels, but in 2020, just three. Pale, green-golden in colour, with abundantly fruity, ripe aromas, this is rich, fresh and long (for drinking 2022-2028+).
