2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes, Domaine Françoise et Denis Clair

Here is an outstanding First Growth Saint Aubin, which has been vinified and aged 100% in small oak barrels, one in six being new. The wine is assembled 1/3 from the Perrières part of the vineyard, where the vines are 70-80 years old, with 2/3 from Les Frionnes itself (average age 25 years). Green golden in colour, this has fresh aromatics, then good structure, harmonious fruit and lively aftertaste (for drinking 2022-2026).
