This comes from a south-west facing, sloping vineyard which is rich in white marl, pebbles and clay, on the opposite side of the valley from Guillot’s home. The vines are more than 60 years old. The wine was fermented and aged in one new 500-litre tun, and a classic-sized barrel which had seen one prior harvest. Colour is bright, green-gold, with open, fresh, clean aromas, the oak perfectly integrated. Palate is broadly structured, with richly creamy texture and lovely, fresh length (for drinking 2018-2022).
