Pascal Reverdy, now ably assisted by his son Victorien, produces an ultra-precise, concentrated Sancerre. The same strata of Kimmeridgian chalk that gives Chablis its classic zip surfaces in the Reverdy`s village, Maimbray – hence this wine`s raciness and stony finish. We are back to a classical style of Sancerre with this 2021 vintage, following previous sunnier years. The result is beautiful, having a very pale lemon-gold colour, aromas being intense and scented, with notes of cut lime and elderflower – very fresh. The palate has excellent richness and concentration of flavour, with chalky minerality and a beautiful, silky texture. The finish is long, fine and brisk.
