Château de Beaucastel 2022 Vintage En Primeur

Owned by the Perrin family, Château de Beaucastel is one of the Southern Rhône’s most highly respected names. We are delighted to launch their 2022 vintage Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Coudoulet de Beaucastel.

After several scorching years, and then a rather cool 2021 vintage, 2022 marks a return to a more classic year. A dry spring led to a long, warm summer. Heatwaves tested the vines, however the combination of old vines (many are centenarians) and a conscientious vineyard team, allowed the grapes to develop smoothly, and in extremely good health. The resulting wines have powerful aromas and suave textures, being superbly fresh, and having excellent alcohol/acidity balance. This is a great, classic vintage.
