Perfectly situated, this tiny, 2.3-hectare Clos nestles within the vineyard of Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Bélair-Monange. Here, the limestone bedrock is covered in some areas by just 50cm of clay, planted 76% with Merlot vines, 24% with Cabernet Franc. Bright, deep ruby colour, the nose is ebulliently fragrant: red cherries, dried rose petals. The wine shows great vibrancy and finesse on the palate, with full, succulent core, silky texture and beautiful length (for drinking now-2030+).
