These vines grow on steeply sloping land, running uphill from the Bouley winery, facing due east. The white, marly soils are deep, being rich in small stones, ensuring good drainage. The Bouley family is the largest owner in this plot. “You can read the origin very clearly in this wine, which is remarkable in a vintage which had so much sunshine,” says Thomas. Colour is attractive red-purple, not very deep, aromas being open and fresh. 75% whole clusters were retained, and have contributed to its notable, richly-rounded, vibrant fruitiness, being delicate yet long (for drinking 2024-2032+).
