“These grapes come solely from the Co^te de Nuits, from land under the Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis appellations, with some Gevrey-Chambertin commune grapes,” says Caroline. Gravity-racked at the end of June, this is light purple in colour, with lively Pinot Noir aromas. Palate is fresh and juicy, with gentle aftertaste (for drinking 2024-2026+).

Maison Laroze de Drouhin
Laroze de Drouhin is the négociant arm of the prestigious Domaine Drouhin-Laroze of Gevrey-Chambertin. It was set up in 2008 by Caroline Drouhin and has enabled the family to supplement their supply of grapes, increasing their range of wines and appellations. As Caroline explains. “We do not own these plots, but manage and work the vineyards with the owners, hand-harvesting ourselves, and making the wines with the same attention to detail that we bring to the wines of our own Domaine”. Caroline and her brother Nicolas – head winemaker – have found it fascinating to work with new terroirs. These three wines are great value, and delightful.
