These 45-year-old vines are planted north-south, and include rows in the “Queue de Hareng” section (The Herring’s Tail) high on the hillside which extends from appellation Gevrey-Chambertin into the village of Brochon. It is a 0.5-hectare monopole, purchased by Charles Magnien in 2020, 2021 being his first vintage. Colour is mid-purple, aromas finely fruity, ripe and open. Palate shows medium weight, with good intensity, and bright, harmonious finish (for drinking 2023-2026+).
