This is a very sunny spot, with vines being over 35 years of age. There is just 20-30 cm depth of soil before the roots begin to penetrate the rocks. It is a cuve´e where Charles Magnien has moved on from traditional punching-down of the grape-cap to using more pumping over of the juice, to flatter the wine’s roundness. The grapes were fully de-stemmed, and have given a wine of medium-deep, purple-ruby colour, with splendid aromas. Attack on the palate is bright and striking, flavours are richly-layered, tannins fresh and lively (for drinking 2024-2030+).
