Named for Claudie’s great-grandmother (Emilie-Anne) this comes partly from a plot uphill from Pommard Les Charmots, and partly from 70+ year-old vines which lie where many of Pommard’s best regional Bourgognes are made: opposite the château, not far from the plane-tree-lined RN 74. It was bottled in September 2023, just before the harvest. This is rich, ruby-purple, with bright fruit on the nose and splendid structure, concentration and suppleness. All lovers of Pinot Noir may relish this wine (for drinking 2024-2028+).
