Jean-Baptiste Clair tells the story: “My father bought this part of the hillside at auction in 1994 – when it was thorn-trees, box-bushes, pebbles and scrubland .It was a good idea – land was not so expensive as it is today. He planted it in 1996, the first harvest being 1999.” It is less than 1/5 of a hectare, on a south-west facing slope, and gave four barrels in 2022. Colour is lemon-gold ,aromas are pungent and fine, palate is rich, complete, fine and long-lasting (for drinking 2025-2030+).
