Winemaker:Domaine Pascal & Nicolas Reverdy
Reverdy`s 2022 Sancerre Rouge is a pure, finely concentrated expression of Loire Pinot Noir. Bright, mid ruby colour, aromas are attractively perfumed, recalling crunchy, floral, red cherry fruit. The warmth of the 2022 vintage sings through in the juicy, ripe fruit at the core of this wine, being beautifully balanced by fresh acidity and finely chiselled structure. The finish is long-flavoured, vibrant and silkily textured.

Domaine Pascal & Nicolas Reverdy
Pascal Reverdy, his wife Nathalie, sister-in-law Sophie (Nicolas’ widow), and sons Victorien and Benjamin run this family domaine, based in the village of Maimbray. The domaine was started by Pascal and Nicolas in 1993, who had previously worked alongside their father on family-owned vines. Victorien joined the team in 2019, having completed his DNO at Dijon, with stages at Armand Rousseau (Gevrey-Chambertin), Châteaux Léoville Las Cases (St Julien Beychevelle) and with Christine Vernay (Condrieu). Benjamin returned to the domaine in summer 2023, having previously been at Domaine de la Romanée Conti in Vosne-Romanée. Approximately 17.5 hectares are in cultivation, with about 70% planted with Sauvignon Blanc, and 30% with Pinot Noir. Hard pruning keeps yields low, with vineyard being grassed through, and lutte raisonnée being practiced. Harvesting is by hand. They make white, red and rosé Sancerre, with no oak ageing, as well as three special cuvées (Les Anges Lots, La Grande Rue and A Nicolas) which are barrel aged.
