When Champagne Bollinger first created its rosé in 2008, its standards were uncompromising: it had to have freshness, of course, but also structure and elegance. A blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier, this is bright, pale pink in colour, with golden tones. On the nose, aromas are reminiscent of Bollinger`s Special Cuvée bottling, having its trademark spicy touch and richness; these are complemented by fragrant notes of red currant and wild strawberry. Palate is well structured, deep and vivacious, the mousse being velvety, the finish long-lingering.
