We have been shipping from this family Domaine in Mercurey for nearly a dozen vintages. Patrick Guillot entrusts his wines exclusively to us in the UK, and we are delighted to have them. Located in Chamirey, a hamlet of Mercurey, Guillot’s first harvest was 1988, when he had three hectares in production. He and his wife have slowly doubled the size of the Domaine, where all grapes are hand-picked, and where the most conscientious attention to all aspects of viticulture and wine-making result in striking successes. This is one of our favourite sources for superb value bottles, with splendid reds and an excellent, 1st Growth white. “It was very dry here in summer 2022,” said Guillot, “but the 100mm rain we had in June saved the harvest.”
