These vines grow on steeply sloping land, running uphill from the Bouley winery, facing due east. The white, marly soils are deep, being rich in small stones, ensuring good drainage. The Bouley family is the largest owner in this plot, where there are vines of six different ages. “Normally we keep over half the bunches as whole clusters, but in 2021 this was virtually all de- stemmed” says Thomas. Colour is medium-deep ruby-purple, aromas are clean and fresh. Palate shows well-rounded fruitiness, with elegant tannins and refreshing, delicate aftertaste (for drinking 2024-2032+).
