This château’s vines are superbly situated on the plateau of one of Pauillac’s best sectors. It rubs shoulders with vineyards belonging to classed growths Grand-Puy-Ducasse and Lynch-Moussas, and until 1948 formed part of the 4th Growth Ch Duhart-Milon. The 2016 has been assembled from 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, and aged in 60% new barrels. Colour is medium-deep ruby, with fine, open aromas which leap from the glass. Palate has imposing, full-bodied structure, with concentrated fruitiness, freshness and length. A superb wine ready for immediate enjoyment.
