2020 Lacoste-Borie, Pauillac

The Second wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Lacoste-Borie frequently appears on our list, offering great value for an elegant, impeccably made Pauillac. In 2020 the blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc, aged in 50% new barrels. Good purple colour with attractive, open, very pure Cabernet aromas. This is a charming Lacoste-Borie, brimming with bright fruit character and ample flesh. In four or five years, this will give great pleasure for a Sunday lunch, particularly from magnums. The finish is harmonious, fresh and long-flavoured (to drink from 2024–2031+).
