2020 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru Clos des Montaigu, Domaine Patrick Guillot

We have been shipping from this family Domaine in Mercurey since the 2011 vintage. Patrick Guillot entrusts his wines exclusively to us in the UK, and we are thrilled to have them. Located in Chamirey, a hamlet of Mercurey, Guillot’s first harvest was 1988, when he had three hectares in production. He and his wife have slowly doubled the size of the Domaine, where all grapes are hand-picked, and where the most conscientious attention to all aspects of viticulture and wine-making result in striking successes. This is one of our favourite sources for superb-value bottles, with splendid reds and striking whites.
