Approximately 25% of the grapes for this came from the Grand Cru Clos des Lambrays, from its youngest vines, which are a respectable 20 years old, but which were vinified separately, and not included in the Grand Vin. The wine was assembled with the produce of the plots which have traditionally made up this cuvée : 1st Growths Clos Sorbet, Riottes, and a plot named Le Village. This is bright, garnet purple, with exuberantly fine fragrance. A densely fruity start is well sustained through the middle-palate, with supple, long-lingering aftertaste (2025-2030+).
