2021 Château de Beaucastel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge

An intricate blend of all 13 permitted grape varieties, 40% of the final blend is Mourvèdre, thanks to the success of this variety in 2021. The cooler growing season has given a wine that has striking aromatic purity, with freshness underpinning the wine’s natural richness. Colour is medium ruby-purple, aromas being beautifully fragrant and multi-layered, recalling bramble fruits, strawberry, cassis. Palate is full bodied and intricately woven, with fine tannic structure and the most beautiful, velvety texture. This is a vibrant wine that possesses delicacy and finesse (for drinking 2024-2035+).
