Tiny quantities of this are available, the second harvest from a vineyard of which 3/4 was recently replanted, in 2018 and 2019. The other 1/4 has very old vines, aged 60-70 years. The land is steeply sloping, with clay-rich soils which lie at the foot of Pernand’s Corton-Charlemagne hillside. The Pavelot family has planted these particular slopes with Pinot Noir to give one of Corton Grand Cru’s most elegant bottlings. Colour is ruby-purple of medium depth, aromas in October 2023 were cleanly fruity, yet discreet. Palate has good structure, gentle fruitiness, harmonious mid-palate and silky aftertaste (for drinking 2027-2038+).
